Sports as an integral part of every students' life

Sports is a physical activity which tests our atheltic abilities, a few popular sports are Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basket Ball, Tennis, Swimming, Badminton and many more. We all know that sports and physical activities are good for our body, but did you know it can also boost your memory, improve your thinking ability and help you sleep and more? Sports and physical activities is directly propotinal to mental health and ability. 
Especially for young children and students. It will help them concentrate in whatever activity they are performing.  
Including such activities right from the childhood is a good idea as it helps them to make it a part of their routine with ease and also a student should be physically and emotionally healthy and stay focused to perform well in their academics.  That is why including sports activities in the curriculum can help them to achieve this to a great extent. 
Making sports an essential element in school days comes with a lot of other advantages than you think.

It helps to improve the physical and mental health of the students. One of the main benefits of sports and games is to improve the physical and mental health of students. Sports are played between teams in a healthy competitive environment to keep students active and healthy. Outdoor sports such as soccer, cricket, tennis, swimming and running keep your body and mind active and active.

It empower students with life skills which will help them in their career and future. While sports activities not only assist in growing physically and intellectual health, it additionally develops the lifestyle capabilities of a student’s personality. It enhances their talents and allows them to have a higher understanding of themselves. Sports additionally assist in growing social skills and getting along side people. They learn how to interact not only with kids of their age however also with adults like their coaches and seniors. Additionally, kids accumulate decision-making competencies through numerous team activities.

Students get to learn time management and discipline which is very important in the present and the future. A major trait of any sportsperson is the effective utilisation of time and discipline. If a student participates in sports, he or she must demonstrate a commitment to be in a specific location at a specific time every day as part of their routine. He or she must be patient and disciplined in order to deal with criticism and setbacks. Each sport has its own set of rules and regulations that must be followed.

It has proved to improve leadership and team building qualities in people. Sports is all about teamwork. Every school/college should encourage team sports such as football, cricket, basketball etc. because through these sports each student can learn a sense of identity and belonging to a group. Such sports encourage children to showcase their talent and communicate with their team members. It also helps to identify and hone their leadership skills which add values to their personality.

Everyone should learn that winning and losing is all part of the game.It is not always about winning in sports. It all comes down to fair play and believing in equality and justice. Accepting defeat in a positive competitive spirit distinguishes a true sportsperson, propelling him/her to strive harder the next time to achieve what he/she missed out on the previous game.

It increases and boosts self confidence in indiviuals. Not only does scoring a goal, hitting a six, or winning a race make a student happy, but it also boosts their confidence. It can be scary to perform in front of a crowd that is constantly watching your every move. A sportsperson, on the other hand, is someone who has focus, patience, the right amount of confidence, and a never-say-die attitude.

Having a peaceful sleep for at least 8 hours a day is important, just like improved health and fitness and other factors. Several studies have found a link between getting enough sleep and participating in sports. Getting enough rest for the body, as well as relaxing the mind, can help students focus better, avoid illness, and stay healthy.

These are just few examples of the benefits that is sown from including sports in a school or college curriculum .
